What this test is for
The Ovarian Reserve Plus Profile measures anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), made by the small sacs in your ovaries that hold developing eggs. It adds FSH and LH, brain signals that drive your cycle, plus oestradiol. It also includes prolactin and testosterone, which our Ovarian Reserve Test leaves out.
Women thinking about when to start a family, or looking into egg freezing or IVF, often choose it. The extra markers suit women with irregular periods who want a wider look at their cycle. You can use a finger prick kit at home.
AMH gives a picture of how many eggs remain, but it does not predict your chance of pregnancy. FSH, LH and oestradiol are easiest to read on day 2 to 5 of your cycle. Your report shows each level against its reference range, and your GP or a fertility clinic can help you plan next steps.
