Advanced Female Fertility Hormone Profile

A female fertility hormone blood test measuring AMH, the main hormones of the menstrual cycle and vitamin D. It suits women planning a pregnancy or curious about their hormones.

What this test is for

The Advanced Female Fertility Hormone Profile looks at eight markers linked to egg supply, ovulation and the menstrual cycle. It measures anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), which reflects how many eggs remain in the ovaries, plus FSH, LH, oestradiol and progesterone. It also includes free testosterone, DHEA sulphate, an adrenal hormone, and vitamin D.

Women planning a pregnancy now or later, those with irregular periods, and anyone wanting more than an AMH test alone may find it helpful. You can give a finger prick sample at home or visit our Hull clinic.

Each hormone is shown against its reference range, so note your cycle day when you give the sample. AMH can help you plan but does not show whether you can get pregnant. A result outside the range can prompt a repeat test or a talk with your GP or fertility clinic.
