Who these terms are for

These terms cover purchases made by individuals through our website.

If you are buying on behalf of a business, these terms do not apply to you. Workplace screening and corporate programmes are governed by a separate Master Services Agreement, which we will provide before any work begins.

You must be 18 or over

We test adults aged 18 and over only. You must be 18 or over to place an order, and we do not test anyone under 18 in any circumstances.

What we sell

We sell blood testing and related services.

Depending on the test, your sample may be collected:

  • at our Hull clinic

  • at your home or workplace by a mobile practitioner,

  • by you, using a finger prick kit we send to you, or

  • by a practitioner you arrange yourself, using a venous collection kit we send to you.

Descriptions and images on our website are there to help you choose. The biomarkers included in each test are listed on its product page and are what you are buying.

All tests are subject to availability. We may occasionally need to change a test to meet a legal, clinical or laboratory requirement, and we will tell you if that affects your order.

Placing an order

  1. Follow the steps at checkout. You can review and correct your order before you submit it.

  2. We will confirm your order by email. Please check it and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.

A written quotation we give you is valid for 28 days unless we withdraw it sooner.

Delivery

Delivery is free. Full details, including how to send your sample back to the laboratory, are in our Delivery and Sample Return information.

Your test, and what we do and do not provide

Every result is checked by our Managing Director, a physiologist, before it is released to you, together with a plain English explanation drafted with the help of artificial intelligence. No doctor reviews your results, and we do not give medical advice.

Results are usually ready within 2 to 3 working days of the laboratory receiving your sample. Some specialist tests take longer, and the product page says so.

A blood test result is not a diagnosis, and we do not provide diagnosis or treatment. Please read our medical disclaimer.

Where a test requires you to fast, or to give your sample at a particular time of day, the instructions are on the product page and in your confirmation email. Please follow them, because a sample taken outside those instructions may not be usable.

Changing your mind

You have a legal right to cancel within 14 days. There are some things this right does not cover, including kits you have opened. Our Returns and Cancellations page explains it properly.

At checkout you will be asked to confirm that you want your test to start straight away, and that you understand you lose the right to cancel once it is complete.

Your responsibilities

Please:

  • give us accurate information,

  • follow the instructions that come with your test, and

  • tell us about anything that might affect your appointment or your sample.

If we cannot provide the service because we have not been given what we need, we may have to pause or cancel it.

Your account

Keep your login details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think somebody else has access to it.

Your information

We handle your personal data in line with our privacy policy, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Health data is treated as confidential. We share it only with those who help deliver your test, such as the laboratory and our results platform. We never share it with your employer, and we share it with your GP only if you ask us to. The only exception is an emergency, where your life or safety is at risk.

If something goes wrong

Our services are provided with reasonable care and skill, and anything we send you will be of satisfactory quality and fit for the purpose described. Those are your legal rights and nothing here affects them.

If you are unhappy, tell us. We acknowledge complaints within 3 working days and respond fully within 20 working days. Our complaints procedure sets out what happens and what to do if you are not satisfied with our answer.

Our liability

We do not limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

We are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses, since these terms cover purchases by individuals rather than businesses.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published when you place your order is the one that applies to it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
