What this test is for
The Tiredness and Fatigue Blood Test looks at nine markers linked to energy. It measures ferritin (your iron stores), iron, and how well iron is carried in the blood. It adds TSH and free T4 for thyroid function, vitamin D, and hs-CRP, a sensitive marker of inflammation.
It suits people who have felt worn out for weeks, or whose energy dips even after good sleep. Heavy periods, a plant based diet and little time outdoors are other common reasons to check. You can use a finger prick kit at home or visit our Hull clinic.
