Boxing Training
Sessions focus heavily on teaching the technical and tactical skills in Boxing, including footwork, attacks and defences.
Our technical Boxing training is perfect for complete beginners and experienced/competitive athletes and will be delivered at a level suitable for your experience.
Absolutely not! We often find that starting with no previous experience is a great way of ensuring we spend time teaching skills correctly instead of working to correct bad habits.
Our sessions are coach-led, meaning that you will spend 90% of your time doing pad work and partner work (if you want to). We don’t believe in bag work or circuits/fitness training as this is something you can complete by yourself, without the price tag!
Sessions last around about 1 hour, giving us plenty of time to cover a range of technical and tactical skills
We provide all the necessary equipment, but you are more than welcome to bring any hand wraps, gloves, boxing boots and any other equipment you may already have. Don’t forget water to drink!
By committing to 1-2-1 training, we are better able to build sessions around you and your needs. Group training sessions don’t offer a lot of flexibility and usually involve fixed duration activities.
Your coach will constantly monitor your progress and will discuss your areas of development with you, so you can work together to cover both what you want and need to improve on.
You simply visit our Boxing Training page on the website, pick a time and a date via the booking form and pay for your session. Easy as that!
Currently, our rates for Boxing are £40 per session.
Our head coach is Daniel Snow, an England Boxing qualified coach (level 2) and a BSc (Hons) degree holder in Sport and Exercise Science. Daniel also holds a PGCE and has worked as an active teacher/lecturer.
Absolutely not. We understand that life is busy, and practicing your Boxing may not be top of the priority list! We recommend doing 1 session at least per week, but you’re more than welcome to book in when possible.
It’s important to note that our coaches will never force you to take part in any contact drills. However, if you do want to progress to contact, our coaches will inspect all equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
You will complete a warm-up and cool down at the start and end of your sessions to reduce the risk of injury. We also request that new participants provide a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) so we have a good understanding of your current state of health and physical ability.
You can. Our sessions are primarily technique-based, meaning we do not focus intentionally on fitness. This gives you a lot of freedom to continue other sports and activities away from Boxing.
